Located in the beautiful Cambridge Valley of New York.  A comfortable room & morning meal are provided, but the emphasis is on the bikes. Take your time experimenting with many different styles & brands, and gain confidence in a reclined position on private paths.  Then enjoy riding on the low trafficked country roads to interesting attractions. 

The Laughing Rabbit is secluded in the woods with walking trails, bird & wildlife watching, and a pond with fish & frogs.  It is surrounded by quiet farm roads leading to small towns, river rafting, fishing, antiquing, and much more. Your curiosity about recumbent bikes will be satisfied. Come and stay for a few days, we promise it will be a laid-back, educational, & active vacation.

Why The Laughing Rabbit?  It is derived by combining the last names of the owners.  Kievit is Dutch for a type of seagull, nicknamed, “The Laughing Gull.” Harrop is Welsh meaning  “Home of the Hare”.  We decided to use rabbit instead of hare, and as it turns out the property in New York is home to a number of rabbits.
